Industrial Hydraulic and Pneumatic Cylinder Repair
As HassasValf, we perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders used in heavy industry, construction equipment, iron-steel, and press lines, strictly adhering to international standards. Your cylinders, which have lost their sealing properties due to corrosion, cavitation, thermal fatigue, or deformation under heavy loads, are restored to their original factory tolerances by our expert engineering team using reverse engineering methods.
Comprehensive Overhaul and Machining Processes
Corrosion, scratches, and mechanical wear on the piston rod and barrel surfaces are completely eliminated through advanced honing and surface machining operations. To minimize your facility's downtime (shut-down), we produce fast and guaranteed solutions utilizing our in-house machining park.
- Barrel Honing and Rod Machining: Scratched or ovalized cylinder barrels are machined to their original tolerances in precision honing machines. Damaged rods are ground and renewed with micron-precision hard chrome plating.
- Sealing Revision: Internal and external leaks are eliminated by utilizing polyurethane, PTFE, viton, or special composite sealing elements (seals, rings, bearings) suited to the system's operating pressure (Bar/PSI), fluid type, and temperature.
- Custom Spare Part Manufacturing: Severely damaged rods, barrels, caps, or piston heads that are beyond repair are manufactured from scratch in our facility using steel alloys (e.g., CK45, 42CrMo4) in accordance with ASME and DIN norms.
- Certified Testing Procedures: Fully assembled cylinders are subjected to hydrostatic and dynamic tests up to 1.5 times the operating pressure in our test units, compliant with EN 12266-1 and relevant standards.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the hydraulic cylinder repair process work and how long does it take?
Cylinders arriving at our facility undergo disassembly and damage assessment (scratches, corrosion, rod bending) by our expert team. Barrel honing, rod chrome plating, and seal replacement are then scheduled. Thanks to our in-house machining park, emergency breakdowns in production lines are resolved as quickly as possible and delivered with a test report.
Can heavily deformed cylinders or broken rods be repaired?
For technically irreparable barrels with deep cavitation or broken/bent rods, we apply reverse engineering. We manufacture new rods, barrels, or caps in our own facility, adhering strictly to original dimensions and material standards (e.g., CK45, 42CrMo4, 1040), restoring the cylinder to a brand-new condition.
What is your warranty and testing procedure for repaired cylinders?
Every overhauled or newly manufactured hydraulic cylinder is subjected to hydrostatic and dynamic sealing tests above its operating pressure (typically 1.5 times) in our specialized test units. Products that successfully pass internal leak (piston seal) and external leak (gland seal) inspections are certified with a zero-defect guarantee.
